It's been a reallllly long time since I posted anything, so I thought I'd stop by and let you all know I am, in fact, alive. Most of the time. I'm taking an overload this semester, which means a class and a half more than normal, so I really don't have much time to do anything other than finish homework and exist, but hey, its all good, right?
While I am in a studio course this semester - painting! Hooray! - I'm mostly posting my works to my instagram, which is a lot more accessible for me. You can look me up, I'm lala9397, and I post lots of my art and sunset pictures but not a lot of pictures of food. There's my quick trailer, my instagram is not coming to a theater near you, but you get the idea.
And just to update you all on the things I've been up to: this past summer I interned at a local art museum (!!!!) where I got to research the permanent collection in the archives (they were cold, windowless, and in a basement, but oh, so many books!) and help teach summer camps to kids (maybe the books and the older kids were more fun than the younger ones. maybe.). What was really exciting, however, is that this semester, I had the chance with my Art History Methods course to collaboratively curate an exhibition. I've been doing a TON of research on Japanese woodblock prints since September, and our show opened on November 4th, so it's been a whirlwind.
I've still got about two and a half weeks left in the semester, so it's likely I won't check in again before it's over, but I'm hoping to return and clean up my gallery a little this winter break. I'll see you all on the flipside!
